Younes qualified from Tehran Medical University in 1996 with an overall grade A. Having worked in his private practice for four years, he came to the UK in 2000 for postgraduate training in oral and maxillofacial surgery (treatment of diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws) and received Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2003 after working in various London hospitals for three years.

He then worked as a Staff Grade Oral Surgeon in the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead where he developed a keen interest in dental implant surgery. At the same time, he worked in a general dental practice in London for four years. He passed the rigorous examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and obtained the Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2010. He is also a member of the Association of Dental Implantology UK and FGDP.

In addition to providing general dental treatments to his patients, implant dentistry and associated bone grafting are his special interest. His bone grafting experience has helped him develop his own techniques to make the implant placements in severely deficient bony sites easier with a predictable long term outcome. He uses innovative new solutions for some challenging situations that he encounters in his clinical practice. He has published his case report in the European Journal of Implantologists and presented at ADI’s national dental implant forums in 2013 Younes has a patient centred approach and his experience combined with his critical and reflective approach to his work has resulted in the successful dental rehabilitations of many patients. He joined Hospital Lane in 2007 and has been a central part of the team ever since.
